A few days back I discovered that I had a 5″ screwdriver in my computer bag. It’s been on every flight I’ve taken since 1997, maybe 50 screenings (including Washington National, Washington Reagan, San Francisco, Philadelphia and Baltimore). Nobody ever noticed.

I had jury duty this week. They summoned a pool of 150 jurors plus 15 people who transferred in from other court sessions. All the cases were settled out of court save one. They picked a jury of 12 plus 1 alternate and everybody else (myself included) was sent home.
